Week 5: Leader Assistant Challenge w/ Jeremy Burrows

Published on 29 August 2025 at 07:23

Theme: Learning, Leading & Letting Go

Week five was all about deepening self-awareness, embracing humility, and leaning into growth. It reminded me that leadership is just as much about confidence and gratitude as it is about strategic delegation and asking the right questions.

Be Grateful: I reflected on the quiet power of behind-the-scenes work and the importance of leading with humility—even when recognition doesn’t follow.

Be Confident: Confidence grows each time I show up with courage, anticipate needs, and act with intention, despite fear or uncertainty.

Ask Clarifying Questions: Strategic questions are key to effectiveness—especially in supporting a leader still growing in their role. Clarity equals impact.

Be Willing to Do (Almost) Anything: I take pride in being dependable. True leadership is being ready to help—without ego or boundaries that block progress.

Outsource Your Job: I’m learning to let go of tasks that don’t truly require me. Delegation is not giving up control—it’s making space to lead.

Takeaway:

This week reinforced that effective leadership blends humility, confidence, and discernment. It’s not about doing everything—it’s about doing what matters most, with heart and clarity.
