In 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That moment marked the beginning of a journey that changed my life — one of fear, strength, healing, and ultimately, triumph.
From that experience came my book, I Am Not My Hair: A Young Woman's Journey and Triumph Over Breast Cancer. It's a story of resilience, identity, and hope, written to uplift and connect with anyone facing the unimaginable.
This month, I encourage you to wear pink — not just as a symbol of breast cancer awareness, but as a sign of unity, strength, and support for everyone affected by cancer. While October shines a light on breast cancer, we also acknowledge all those battling other forms of cancer. Every diagnosis, every survivor, every loss matters.
Let’s continue to support patients, families, caregivers, and researchers. Let’s raise awareness, fund critical research, and stand together in pursuit of a cure. Honor the fighters, the survivors, and the remembered.
If you or someone you love is walking this road, know that you are not alone.
